Our boat got shorter

We got the trees moved off our boat and we were examining the extent of the damage tonight. It pretty much folded our wakeboard tower up, ripped vinyl in seats, removed all glass from the windshield, and messed up our steering wheel. There may be more damage, but we didn't take the tarp completely off yet. Fun stuff.

Here today, gone -- in a second

This is damage to some houses just west of 168th & Maple. Sure does make you appreciate the power of wind! It took out a complete garage and left quite a mess for these people. Pretty sad.

What 100mph straight line winds can do

This is just some of the damage to our property in Valley, NE. Pretty much all the trees came down. As you can see in the pictures, the trees took out windows, our boat, and the property renters truck. I have lots more pictures, but I thought I'd just share a few. All of Valley, NE is without power, as is a lot of the Omaha area. Rumor has it that part of the Qwest Center arenas roof came off. Trees everywhere are down, fences demolished, light poles down, hail damage significant, and the sound of chainsaws can be heard all over town.

Where the crew and the antelope play

Scott Thielen (one of our job foreman) and crew did a job in Colorado and saw baby antelope running around by the jobsite. They would chase them, and the antelope would play dead (seen in the first picture). They would stick their tongue out and everything. However, Scott finally did catch one of them. They are pretty cute. : )

Omaha Tornado damage

Here are a few pictures of tornado damage from the June 8th tornado. It seemed to like car washes and trees.

Leavin the Cracker Barrel

Some "parting shots" of Kaylee and Hope as we were leaving the Cracker Barrel Sunday evening.

Anyone ready for some porch sittin?

I saw this structure on the way to Antioch this year. Just had to get a picture of it. It is located in the tiny town of Halsey, NE. Doesn't it just look like it needs some people sittin on the porch noddin as you go by? : )

Youth

Here is the annual youth picture at Antioch this year. This was only a fraction of the kids that were actually there, but a cute picture no less

Huh?

Who says you can't teach a dog new tricks! I couldn't pass up taking these pictures. We were actually stopped at a truck stop on the way home from eastern Iowa, and as I was getting ready to get in my vehicle, I looked up and saw this. : )
