Huh?

Who says you can't teach a dog new tricks! I couldn't pass up taking these pictures. We were actually stopped at a truck stop on the way home from eastern Iowa, and as I was getting ready to get in my vehicle, I looked up and saw this. : )

Donkey Basketball!

We attended a Donkey basketball game for the first time Friday night near Marysville, KS. Anneta Griffee had helped organize this event, so we had to see what it was all about! It was hilarious! A player had to be mounted on the donkey to score a point. Harder than you think! Some players got creative -- dangling carrots and such. The donkeys seen here are named: Beatle Bomb, Elvis, Rigor Mortis, Thunder Ball, Snuffy, Kilroy, Honey Pot, and my personal favorite -- Superstupid. : ) The donkeys certainly had a mind of their own! Fun stuff.

Marysville freezer door in!

The door is finally in!

Several Ways to Maintain a healthy level of insanity:

1. In the memo field of all your checks, write "For smuggling diamonds"

2. As often as possible, skip instead of walk.

3. Order a Diet water whenever you go out to eat, with a serious face.

4. Specify that your drive-through order is "To Go"

5. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "In".

Hope these made u smile!

The price of freedom

This is Dave Underwood. He is the husband of my best friend in high school. He was stationed in Iraq and was on a mission with his guys to clear a booby-trapped house and stepped on a pressure plate -- IED. He lost his left arm but is happy to be alive! He said he had to go out of command in style! He was flown to Landstuhl, Germany and then on to Walter Reed, Maryland where he presently is. He will receive a robotic arm to replace his real one. He is in good spirits and jokingly wonders if Rolex will replace his crushed watch since it didn't seem to hold up to a IED! He did sustain other injuries to his left side and also has superficial wounds on his right; but his body armor took most of the hit and his helmet prevented injuries to his head. In my eyes, Dave is one of the REAL heros of our country.

My red H2!

We found this beauty on ebay. We flew to Tampa, FL to pick it up and drive it home. We have a nice Nissan Armada for sale now!
